Sharp increase in overcrowding at Naas Hospital with 26 patients on trolleys today

There are 26 patients without beds at Naas General Hospital today with 600 people nationwide waiting on trolleys.

According to figures released today by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), 26 patients are on trolleys at Naas Hospital with 23 in the emergency department and 3 on wards elsewhere.

This is exceeded only by St Vincent's Hospital and Beaumont Hospital.

The number of patients on trolleys at Naas Hospital today is a 350% increase from Friday.
