The Republic of Ireland senior women's team will face world champions USA in a double-header this April.

Vera Pauw's outfit, who played out a 0-0 draw with China in Spain on Wednesday, have been in Marbella completing a 10-day training camp in preparation for this summer's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The Girls in Green continue their pre-World Cup schedule with two fascinating friendly fixtures against the world number one ranked international side before they host Zambia and France in June and July.

Ireland play the USA at the Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas on April 8 before they travel to Missouri's brand new Citypark stadium in St Louis to play Vlatko Andonovski's side again on April 11.

Irish supporters will have July 20 marked on their calendars as the Girls in Green begin their World Cup group stage campaign against Australia in Sydney on that date.
