Somebody tell this man to get his 'Tractor For Sale' off the road in Nurney!

An eagle-eyed KildareNow reader sent in this photo of a vintage tractor with a 'For Sale' sign and a mobile number in the Nurney area this week.

The reader said: "All the gardai need to do is ring this poor fella on his mobile and then call to his house with a fine or court summons.

"They're very strict about this now but you still see old bangers for sale all over the damn place."

The owner of this tractor is allegedly breaching the Roads Act 1993 and Gardai have recently used this legislation to seize parked vehicles advertised for sale on the roadside in parts of Co Kildare.

These vehicles are deemed to be an obstruction and a distraction to other passing road users.

Under Section 71 of the Roads Act 1993, it’s an offence to park on a public road for the purposes of sale or advertising.
