Kildare suffered their fourth defeat in five games following a five point defeat at the hands of Louth at Devy Páirc Mhuire, Ardee, this afternoon. It means that Kildlare now face a real dog-fight to retain their Division 2 status.
It was two first half goals for the men in red that proved the difference as once again Kildare's conficence saw them make an amount of errors, both Louth goals coming from Kildare mistakes.
That is to take nothing away from Louth who thorouly deserved their victory.
Half time saw the home side lead 2-6 to 0-7 and while the second half was level, both raising five white flags apiece it was Louth who take on the vital points on offer on a final score line of Louth 2-11 Kildare 0-12.
