Kildare U20s book a Leinster final spot with big win over Laois

Kildare are through to the Leinster U20 football final following a comprehensive win over Laois at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise this afternoon. Kildare will now play Dublin in the final, they defeated Meath this evening, the decider is fixed for Carlow this night week, April 25.

The opening half saw Kildare dominate and while they hit eight wides they led by five points (0-9 to 0-4). Laois had a couple of goal chances but fine stops by Cormac Barker kept the green flag static.

On the change of ends Kildare took over completely, keeping Laois to just five points while hitting an impressive 1-11 themselves, the goal coming from Eoin Cully who had an excellent game hitting an impressive 1-4.

Others to shine for Kildare included Jack McKevitt, Shane Farrell, Ryan Sinkey and Adad Fanning.

Final score: Kildare 1-20 Laois 0-9
