Former Kildare senior football goalkeeper, Shane McCormack (Allenwood) is expected to be appointed the new manager of Meath Ladies team.

McCormack managed Armagh to the National League Division 2 team earlier this year and gained promotion to Division 1, Armagh lost to Donegal in the Ulster final and exited the All-Ireland series  losing out to Cork in July.

The former Kildare star takes over from Meath interim manager  Jenny Rispin, from Summerhill, after Davy Nelson controversially stepped down in June; Nelson had replaced Eamonn Murray,  who guided Meath to the All Ireland senior titles in 2021 and 2022, having brought The Royals up from the intermediate grade.

Shane McCormack's appointment is expected to be ratified at the next Meath LGGA Co. Bord meeting on September 11.
