Kildare completed their Division 2 regular season campaign with a sixth win out of seven over Westmeath. This fixture was the final hurdle before Kildare's league final vs Tyrone on April 7 in Croke Park.

The Lillies did most of their damage in the first half with 2-5 of their 2-9 total scored in the opening half an hour. Early goals from Ruth Sargent and Neasa Dooley meant Kildare led for much of this game and closed out victory as both sides rang in the second half changes.
