David Qualter, Kildare
Kildare made it three wins from three in Manuard Park this afternoon with a fully deserved seven point win over Derry in the Christy Ring Cup.
Kildare were always in the lead in this one but it took two goals, one in each half from Jack Sheridan to ensure Brian Dowling's side victory.
Kildare led at the break 1-12 to 0-6 and looked well on their way.
However Derry stepped it up in the second half, reduced the lead back to five points before Jack Sheridan's second goal and while Derry kept at it, it was the home side who held sway eventually winning on a final score line of Kildare 2-19 to 0-18.
Kildare last two game are both away to Tyrone in two weeks time and then the final one against unbeaten London.
