Kildare crashed out of the Leinster SFC and the All-Ireland series following their four point defeat at the hands of Louth in Croke Park this afternoon.

It was do or die for The Lilies and while they led by a point after 18 minutes it was Louth who led at the break by all of four, a half that saw the boys in red have no less than seven different scorers in that half.

Kildare struggled from there on and while they got the opening point of the second half Kildare never got any closer than three point in the second half.

Conor Grimes got the man of the matchd award for the winners while full forward Sam Mulroy hit six points in total.

Once again Kevin Feely was Kildare's top scorer but with only six points coming from open play Kildare in the end limped out of the championship.
