Kildare crashed out of the Tailteann Cup following a five point defeat against Laois in O'Connor Park, Tullamore, this afternoon.
It was a game the winners fully deserved, they stepped up in the second half when it was needed with Evan O'Carroll finding the net in the 57 minute but if the truth be told the writing was on the wall for Glenn Ryan's side as the boys in blue dominated after the break holding scoreless for all of 14 minutes before getting their first score of the half.
At that stage Laois had added four points.
The sides were level at half-time, that after Laois went to up through a Mark Barry and Shea Ryan (Kildare) receiving a black card. However Kildare responded and during the next ten minutes hit four points to retake the lead 0-7 to 1-2 but Laois hit back with two points before the break to leave the half-time reading Kildare 0-7 Laois 1-4.
