Kildare GAA: Sunday wins for Clogherinkoe, Sarsfields and Moorefield

Sarsfields had their expected win over Confey in Round 2 of SFC in Manguard Park this evening (Sunday) but they had to work hard before getteing the better of rank outsiders Confey who led at the break 1-5 to 0-7.

However two goals in the second half from Karl Hartley finally shook off the boys from the north of the county with the Newbridge having a somewhat flattering seven point winning margin in the end.

Meanwhile Clogherinkoe had too much power for Allenwood and leading at the brfeak 2-6 to 1-4 went on with late goals go win 4-14 to 1-9.

In the final senior game of the day and indeed the weekend, it was Moorefield who had a comfortable win over Kilcock. Hitting six points from the first six attempts, all within eight minutes, The Moores dominated throughout, led 1-10 to 0-3 at the break, adding 1-8 in the second half with Kilock getting eight. Moorefield goals coming from Evan O'Brien (1-7) and Mark Murray.
