Naas had little trouble defeating Confey in the first of teh UPMC SHC semi-finals at Manguard Park, Hawkfield, this afternoon.
Roaring hot favs, not just to win this but also the final, Naas dominated from the word go, led by 1-12 to 0-4, the goal from Cian Boran.
The second half was more of the same and while Confey never gave up they were always fighting a losing battle in the end losing by no less than 30 points with Jack Sheridan the Naas top scorer once again hitting 1-8.
In the first semi-final of the Tom Cross Transport JFC semi-final Kill caused a bit of an upset when getting the better of Grangenolvin.
Kill, were well on top in the opening half, led at the break by three, 0-4 to 0-7 and while Grangenolvin dominatd most of the second half, it was Kill who deservedly held out to book their place in the final by three points.
The second semi-final at Hawkfield this afternoon saw Ellistown dominate most of the game leading at the break 1-5 to 0-2, the goal coming from Tadhg Watson.
The pattern of the second half saw little change, Tadhg Watson got his second goal of the game from the penalty spot, Castlemitchell had a penalty saved and then converted a second one to leave just four points separating the sides at the final whistle.

Naas 3-28 Confey 0-7.
TOM CROSS JFC SEMI-FINALS
Kill 0-12 Ellistown 0-9;
Ellistown 2-9 Castlemitchell 1-8.
