Kildare: Celbridge defeat Sarsfields after extra time

Big, big win for Celbridge as they overcame Sarasfields, after extra time, to book  their place in this season's Kildare SFC with two points to spare.

On a bitterly cold day Celbridge at half time by 0-7 0-2 after playing with the aid of a strong wind.

Sarsfields came back string in the second half but  it took a point in time added  by Karl Hartley to force extra time.

Celbridge got a great start at the start of extra  time with Killian Browne finding the net and they lead at the break by two 1-10 to 0-11.

The second half was a dogged affair, with two points scored,  one each as Celbridge held out to book their place in the final on a score line of Celbridge 1-11 Sarsfields 0-12.

Scorers: Celbridge, Aaron Browne 0-7 (4 frees, mark), Killian Browne 1-1, Kevinn O'Callaghan 0-1, Tony Archbold 0-1, Cormac O'Sullivan 0-1.
