The 2024 Kildare GAA Awards will take place in the Osprey Hotel on Friday, January 10 with 11 awards to be officially handed out.

In a dismal year for the senior footballers, Athy's Kevin Feely was one of the few bright lights and he is the 2024 Kildare Senior Footballer of the Year.

On the hurling side of the ledger things were more successful as The Lilies lifted the Christy Ring Cup once again after relegation the year before. A crucial achievement under then new manager Brian Dowling and their Player of the Year was Naas man Rian Boran.

The club game saw Naas achieve four Senior Football Championships in a row and their talisman Darragh Kirwan was voted as the standout player in their run to county glory yet again.

The Auld Shebeen Athy Intermediate Footballer of the Year was Ryan Burke, who's season with Caragh continues on January 4 with an All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship semi-final fixture.

After restoring their Intermediate status and having a decent Leinster run, Ellistown wing-back Pat Martin was crowned Tom Cross Transport Junior Footballer of the Year.

In the small ball game, Naas' Simon Leacy dazzled as his club maintained their stranglehold on Kildare hurling with yet another (six in-a-row) county title.

The UPMC Senior B Hurler of the Year was Moorefield man Muiris Curtin with Naas' Conor Donnelly and Confey's Mark Fennelly scooping the Intermediate and Junior awards respectively.

Castlemitchell's Billy O'Connell was the recipient of the Mick Sammon Referee Award for his contributions in 2024.

The handball title winner was Maynooth's Damian Terry.
