Kildare school pipped in camogie All-Ireland final
Allianz Corn Úna Junior D final

St Dominic’s Belfast 2-7

Gaelcholáiste Chill Dara 1-9

A few more minutes and Aoibhín Ní Dhubhshláine of Gaelcholáiste Chill Dara might well have pulled a levelling score out of the bag in this Allianz Ireland All-Ireland Corn Úna camogie final in Castleblayney this afternoon. But when referee Jason Buckley blew his whistle after two added minutes St Dominic’s Grammar school had become the first Ulster school to lift Corn Úna since it was introduced 14 years ago.
The key score was a goal from Erin Stewart in the 57th minute, 30 seconds after Ní Dhubhshláine had pulled the teams level at 1-7 each. Ní Dhubhshláine responded with a point two minutes later and then fired over a free more than a minute into added time. But the Falls Road side held out to take the title.
It was 1-5 to 1-3 at the break.
