McDonagh Cup: Kildare name same XV for vital clash with Down

Lilies on the brink of advancing to decider

Kildare name side for McDonagh Cup clash with Down

Paul Dolan named in midifled for Saturday's McDonagh Cup clash with Down

Brian Dowling and his management have named their side to take on Down at Cedral St Conleth's Park, Newbridge, on Saturday (2pm) in the final round of the Joe McDonagh Cup.

The side is the same XV that started last week's game against Laois, albeit with some positional changes.

A win for the home side would guarantee their place in the Joe McDonagh Cup final while also seeing Kildare take part in the pre-quarter-final of the Liam McCarthy Cup in a few weeks time, so a massive game.

The side reads:

KILDARE v Down: Paddy McKenna; Richie Hogan, Rian Boran cpt, Daniel O'Meara; Paul Dolan, Cian Boran, Simon Leacy; Daire Guerin, James Burke; Cathal McCabe, Jack Travers, David Qualter; Gerry Keegan, Cathal Dowling, Jack Sheridan.

Rest of match squad: Mark Doyle, Darragh Melville, Harry Carroll, Liam O'Reilly, James Dolan, Celbridge, Jack Higgins, Oisin Lynam, Killian Harrington, Conn Kehoe, Cormac Byrne, Frank Bass.
