Kildare SFC: Clane advance to quarter-final defeating Moorefield

Clane booked their place in the Kildare SFC quarter-final with a six point win over Moorefield at Cedral St Conleth's Park, this evening; Moorefield progresss to the pre quarter-final.

Clane took control early and led 0-4 to 0-1 after nine minutes but Moorefield hit back with a couple of two-pointers and a penalty from Evan O'Brien on 23. The foul for the penalty saw Clane reduced to 14 following a straight red for Sean Dunne, The Moores led at the break 1-8 to 1-6.

Clane soon leveled on the resumption and with Adam Fanning in mighty form, two second half goals saw Clane move ahead but Moorefield kept plugging away and two late goals had the lead back to three but there was no denying 14-man Clane as they won with a bit in hand 3-21 to 4-12.
