Kildare JFC: Rathcoffey defeat Cappagh to book a final spot

Rathcoffey booked their place in the final of the Tom Cross Transport JFC following a two point win over Cappagh at Manguard Parkd, Hawkfield, this afternoon.

The sides were level at half-time, 1-7 apiece, the goals coming from Ethan O'Donoghue (Rathcoffey) and Brian McNally of Cappagh.

O'Donoghue struck again on39 minutes as Rathcoffey opened a four point lead but Cappagh cut back the lead and were level on 56 minutes, however points from an Ethand O'Donoghue free and a punched point from Chris Shields saw Rathcoffey advance to the final on a final score line of Rathcoffey 2-13 Cappagh 1-14.

In the second semi-finanal of the Junior Championship, Grangenolvan had their expected win over Athgarvan but they had to work hard winning in the end 1-17 yo 0-15, Nathan Doyle getting the goal early in the second half, while Athgarvan finished with 14, after picked up a red card in the second half.

Final score: Grangenolvan 1-17 Athgarvan 0-15.
