Kildare SHC: Kildare make it seven titles on the trot

Naas Simon Leacy slips past the challenge of Maynooth Cian Forde during the 2025 UPMC Senior Hurling Championship Final

Naas made it seven senior hurling titles in a row following an eight point win over Maynooth at Cedral St Conleth's Park, Newbrige, this afternoon.

While Naas never looked under any serious threat throughout the game, Maynooth can gain some consolation following their 17 point defeat twelve months ago.

Naas led at the break 2-9 to 0-6, the goals coming from Killian Harrington as early as the fourth minute, getting on to the end of a long ball in from Liam O'Reilly; goal number 2 arrived from Ferran O'Sullivan following a brilliant catch by Cathal Dowling; Jack Sheridan was in top form in that half hitting no less than a half dozen points.

Maynooth's Tom Power, hit four frees with some fine accurate free-taking.

It was more of the same on the resumption and while Maynooth added a further ten points, Naas added 1-6, their third goal coming from the stick of man of the match Cian Boran.

Naas did finish with fourteen men, Jack Sheridan picking up a harsh second yellow in the dying minutes.
