Kilkenny class proves too much for Coill Dubh

  Coill Dubh have bowed out of the Leinster Championship after suffering a massive defeat to Kilkenny intermediate champions Bennettsbridge this afternoon. The Kilkenny champions only won their county title last night, but they obviously weren't suffering any hangover as the romped to a convincing win. The Kildare side trailed by 2-15 to 0-2 at the interval, and a string of substitutions from their hosts disrupted their scoring pattern, and Coill Dubh eventually mustered a consolation goal through Tom Brady with about 10 minutes to go. The Kilkenny champions made sure Coill Dubh wouldn't trouble the scoreboard too often in the second half, and despite Eanna O'Neill scoring a superb 70 metre point, the gulf in class showed throughout.
