Fancy running a triathlon or duathlon in the new year? Naas Tri Club are now running training courses

Naas Tri Club are calling on members of the local community who may have an interest in competing in triathlons to bite the bullet and sign up for a training programme that will help prepare potential athletes for their first triathlon in June. If you’re thinking of doing your first triathlon in 2017 now is the perfect time to get started. Naas Tri Club have a dedicated training plan designed to get new members ready to do their first triathlon in Tri-Athy at the start of June. This novice training group will gradually introduce new members to swimming biking and running though our weekly coached training sessions and ensure you’re ready to confidently take on your first triathlon. Entries are slo filling up fast for the Naas Duathlon Series that is due to get underway next weekend. Now in their tenth year, these ever popular duathlons held in Punchestown usually sell out so don’t miss your place. This year the dates are Jan 15, Feb 19 and Mar 12. The route is a 3.2km run around Punchestown racecourse followed by 20 km out and back bike route to Blessington, then 3.2km run around same run circuit.Suitable for all levels including novices.
