Ballymore Eustace finally get their Leinster Championship campaign underway today after postponement

After having their game postponed last weekend due to Storm Brian, Ballymore Eustace set to make their bow on the provincial football championship scene this year as they take on Erin Rovers of Offaly in the Leinster Junior Football Championship this afternoon. The men from the Kildare/Wicklow border won the Junior Championship title in Kildare on September 24 when they easily accounted for Caragh in the final, and they will have lofty aspirations of repeating a memorable run in 2010 where they won the Leinster Intermediate Championship by defeating Nobber of Meath in a game that wasn't played until January 2011. They face Erin Rovers, a team based in Pullough in today's quarter-final. The Offaly men had to beat Sean Connolly's of Longford in a preliminary round clash two weeks' ago to make it to this stage. Conor Lynam is seemingly their most potent forward as he kicked 0-7 from play in their 0-20 to 2-9 win, while former U21 county footballer Gio Russo is a dangerous player for the Faithful County side. Throw-in for this afternoon's game is scheduled for 2pm in Pullough and KildareNow will be reporting live from the Offaly venue to bring you all the action
