Kildare's Adam Byrne handed Irish debut for Argentina clash on Saturday

Kildare man Adam Byrne will make his debut this weekend for Ireland when Joe Schmidt's side take on Argentina in the Aviva Stadium in the final November international of the series. The Kill winger has been picked on the right of a back three that also features Leinster teammate Rob Kearney at full-back and Ulster youngster Jacob Stockdale on the left wing. Byrne has been in superb try-scoring form for his province over the last 18 months, though a first Ireland cap comes as a slight surprise after he wasn't picked in the squads for the South Africa or Fiji games. Robbie Henshaw has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, meaning Chris Farrell will partner Bundee Aki in the centre, while it's the familiar half-back pairing of Conor Murray and Johnny Sexton inside them. Byrne's Kill neighbour, James Tracy will also get another chance to impress after being named on the bench as a replacement for booker Rory Best. Ireland (v Argentina): Rob Kearney; Adam Byrne, Chris Farrell, Bundee Aki, Jacob Stockdale; Johnny Sexton, Conor Murray; Cian Healy, Rory Best, Tadhg Furlong; James Ryan, Iain Henderson; Peter O’Mahony, Sean O’Brien, CJ Stander. Reps: James Tracy, Dave Kilcoyne, John Ryan, Devin Toner, Rhys Ruddock, Luke McGrath, Ian Keatley, Andrew Conway.
