All-Ireland U20 Football Championship semi-final: Kerry's late resurgence in first half pulls Kildare back to a 1 point lead

Half time:Kildare 0-09Kerry 0-08 An impressive first 22 minutes from the Lilywhites saw the Kildare side lead 0-8 to 0-5 points with Aaron Masterson scoring a long range point more typical of the Kingdom style. Another point by Hyland (on fire today) saw Kildare lead 9-7 after 24 minutes. Clever, quick passing, confident shooting and even a dummy aided Kildare's tally. However, the closing five minutes saw Kerry close down on Hyland and clock up three unanswered points, one of them resulting from a dubious free. All to play for as Kildare lead by one point facing into the second half. Feature photo by Pat Tinsley of Jimmy Hyland whose shooting boots are on fire today!
