Owner Catherine Johnson said: “We are thrilled to be nominated in the top ten for cosiest pub in Ireland.

"Our customers love the big open fire in our bar, and it is never without a pint of the black stuff on its mantelpiece….if only fires could talk!!

"We’ve had a fantastic year so far, the highlight of course being Sarsfields crowned county champions just two weeks ago.  To make the top three of the Bord na Mona Fuel Hearth Session would be the icing on the cake.”

The top three pubs with the most votes will be chosen to host Bord na Mona Hearth Sessions with renowned Irish singer, song writer and musician Roisin O and five piece indie/folk/pop band Brave Giant.
