Status Yellow wind warning issued for parts of Leinster as gusts of up to 90kmh predicted

A Status Yellow weather warning that is in place for much of the west of the country today has been extended to many parts of Leinster as further strong winds are expecting throughout this evening and into tonight.

The weather warning has been issued for counties Dublin, Louth, Wicklow and Meath, and it will be in place from 7pm this evening until 9am tomorrow morning.

Strong winds are predicted overnight, and westerly winds may reach mean speeds of 50 to 60kmh and gusts up to 90kmh at times.
