TRAFFIC: Emergency services at collision scene near Curragh Racecourse

Gardai, Kildare Fire Service and Ambulance services are attending the scene of a collision near the Curragh Racecourse.

The incident is at the T-junction of the R445 and the R413 road between the Ballymany Roundabout and the Curragh Racecourse.

A photo posted on the Leinster Checkpoints page on Facebook shows a number of emergency vehicles at the incident and traffic cones warning of a diversion.

The T junction is very busy and vehicles are often queued in the area up in the morning.

Traffic coming on the R445 from Kildare Town and the R413 from Rathangan area use these routes to get onto the nearby M7 motorway.

Traffic is facing delays in the area as travelling is  restricted.
