Due to overnight falls of snow and sleet, slushy conditions have been reported on parts of the M7.
One affected area is from J8 Johnstown to J10 Naas South as well as further south.
AA Roadwatch is advising care and reported that there has already been a number of incidents.
Road temperatures have edged above freezing so overnight sleet, hail or snow is melting fast.
Melting could lead to spot flooding in areas.
A national Snow / Ice Warning remains in place until 10am this morning.
There will be a few wintry showers early this morning but these will soon die out and it will be mostly dry with good sunny spells developing.
Top temperatures for the day will reach just 3 to 6 degrees.
