TRAFFIC: Take 'extreme caution' on M4 says AA Roadwatch

AA Roadwatch is urging motorists to 'take extreme caution' travelling on the M4 towards Dublin due to icy conditions.

Slippery conditions are also reported in Celbridge on the Newtown Road.

Road users are urged to slow down, take care and remember that stopping distances are approximately 10 times longer in ice.

There was a breakdown on the M4 motorway earlier near Junction 8 Kilcock, where visibility is very poor:

After the incident was cleared, traffic was busy from the from Junction 4 Newcastle to the M50.
