Urgent dog and cat food appeal released by Kildare charity

The organisation’s centre is located on the Grey Abbey Road
A wildlife rescue charity which operates out of County Kildare has released an appeal for dog and cat food.
Taking to social media to make the call, Kildare Wildlife Rescue (KWR) explained that it ‘urgently needs’ wet cat and dog food in jelly and cat nuts.
KWR added that all donations can be dropped to its centre (Eircode R51 X338).
The organisation notably made headlines earlier this month when it highlighted the tragic deaths of three cygnets in a County Dublin park within the space of 36 hours.
BRIEF BACKGROUND
KWR is a registered charity which was established back in early 2022.
It later acquired a site on the Grey Abbey Road in Kildare Town to act as its base, and the KWR opened it in July of that same year.
KWR’s base is divided into a number of areas and pens, which are specially designated for different kinds of wild animals.
It is currently led by its manager Dan Donoher, who previously worked with Kildare Animal Foundation, a separate animal welfare organisation.
