VIDEO: Fire Service warns about dangers of placing your feet on car dashboard

Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) has warned of the dangers of passengers placing their feet on the dashboard of a car during long journeys.

Experts believe that the weight and movement of the feet can trigger the airbag to deploy and this can potentially cause injuries.

DFB shared a video filmed by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service showing a dummy thrown violently backwards when the airbag activates in a demonstration car.

The training exercise is witnessed by fire and rescue personnel in protective gear.
