Warning to Kildare shoppers over scam Aldi voucher

Shoppers in Co Kildare have been warned about a bogus email informing the recipient that they have won a '£500 voucher' in Aldi.

The realistic-looking gift certificate - which has nothing whatsoever to do with Aldi - even displays a 16-character alpha-numeric code and claims it is 'Copyright Aldi Stores Limited 2017'.

The voucher also claims it is 'valid to all items in the Wine section.'

Recipients are asked to click on a link to redeem the gift certificate which will run the risk of allowing cyber criminals to access your personal data.
