'We are incredibly grateful': Brazilian-themed café in Kildare announces closure
The business will officially close its doors on Sunday, June 7, 2026
A Brazilian-themed café based in County Kildare has announced that it will be closing its doors soon.
Located on Charlotte Street in Newbridge, Sweet Maria Coffee Shop, otherwise simply known as Sweet Maria, was established back in 2022.
However, according to the business, ‘the time has come’ for it to say goodbye to its customers.
Taking to social media, the management at Sweet Maria’s said: “We are incredibly grateful to every customer, friend, and supporter who walked through our doors and became part of the Sweet Maria Café family.
“Your smiles, conversations, laughter, and support have filled our café with warmth and unforgettable memories.”
They also announced that the business’ last day will be Sunday, June 7, 2026.
However, they added: “Before we close this chapter, we would love to welcome you one last time.
“Come and enjoy your favorite coffee, share a moment with us, and celebrate the beautiful memories we have created together.
“Thank you for being part of our journey; with love and gratitude, Sweet Maria Café.”
The business also shared the following quote at the end of its announcement: “Every ending is a new beginning, but the memories remain forever.”
