WEATHER: Slippery conditions on untreated routes. Snow/Ice Warning in place until 11am

Kildare and the rest of Leinster have woken up to a widespread frost and icy road conditions.

Met Eireann has revised its Yellow Weather Warning for Snow/Ice until 11am this morning.

Cyclists and pedestrians will need more consideration.

Don't forget to clear the windscreen and all windows and mirrors in vehicles to maximise visibility.

Leave yourself extra braking distance when driving due to icy conditions.

Keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front and drive at appropriate speeds/

Gritting took place overnight but even if the road is clear or looks treated take extra care because salting does not guarantee the road is free from ice.
