High temperatures and dry spell on the horizon following showery outbreaks this week
Met Éireann has predicted a warm and wet start to the week following a glorious weekend in most parts of the country.
Showers are expected to end the dry spell on Sunday evening in most parts of the country, however the warm temperatures look set to stay.
Thankfully, Carlow Weather man Alan O'Reilly has said that after the outbreaks of rain on Sunday night and Monday, the country can expect another 7 to 10 days of dry weather!

Here is how the coming week is looking so far according to Met Éireann.
Sunday night will be cloudy over the eastern half of the country with some areas experiencing outbreaks of rain. The west will be drier with only a few showers here and there. Lowest temperatures will range from 7 to 10 degrees, with colder spells in the west.
Monday will be off to a cloudy start with some scattered patches of rain and drizzle. Connacht and west Munster will enjoy the most of the sunny weather on Monday. However, the warm temperatures will stick around with highs of 15 to 19 degrees in some areas.

Monday night will be another cloudy one with showers that could turn heavy and even thundery in parts. It will be a milder night with temperatures between 8 and 11 degrees.
Tuesday will see sunny spells as well as showers, many of which could turn into heavy or thundery downpours in the afternoon and evening in some parts of the country. The north is expected to remain mostly dry. Again, it will be another warm day with temperatures between 16 and 21 degrees.
Wednesday will be a similar day of sunshine and rain. The showers will be mostly focused in the west and southwest and they could become very heavy and, again, thundery. The north and east can expect more dry conditions to prevail. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.
Met Éireann has said that the high pressure will become more dominant in the latter part of the week which will bring more settled conditions and continued high temperatures.
