Insomnia to hear about new Athy cafe next week
13:35 Saturday 12th of August 2017

Kildare Co Council is due to make a decision next week on a new Insomnia outlet in Athy.

Dublin-based Insomnia Coffee Company wants to develop a new cafe on Duke Street in the town.

The unit in Edward Rice Square will change from a bank if planning permission is granted.

Also being planned is a kids play area.

The coffee chain, which was founded by entrepreneur Bobby Kerr in 1997, already has several outlets in Co Kildare.

The cafes are based in Leixlip, Kill, Newbridge and Monsterevin.
