A woman has shown the damage burglars caused to a bedroom by pulling a safe bolted to a wall.
The incident happened between 7.30pm and 9.20pm on Friday of last week.
Some possessions such as a passport such as a marriage cert were later found in a field in Rathcoole.
The safe, which included her late mother's watch, hasn't been found yet.
The woman, who was walking her dog at the time, said on RTE's Liveline: "I just knew that horrible, horrible feeling that somebody was in my house."
Gardai were called and arrived within minutes.
Neighbour saw the young kids carrying a holdall bag with the heavy safe.
The woman said: "They took the safe off the wall in the wardrobe my son's bedroom. It was installed by my alarm company and it was bolted into the wall.
"They had gone out the kitchen back door, went into the shed and took out fork and shovel and went up to son's room again to lever the safe from the wall.
"My neighbours said they heard two bangs and thought somebody was hanging up a picture."
She added: "They did a huge amount of damage to property - but it's more the damage to me and all the upset.
"You try to do the right thing by putting your possessions and passports into a safe."
She added: "But a safe is not safe."
