Woman living in Kildare town had no money for car insurance shortly after receiving cancer treatment

A woman living in Kildare town who was suffering from cancer while charged for no insurance appeared before Naas District Court.

The 40-year-old woman, was charged with no insurance on January 27, 2017, at Kildare town.

In court, the accused pleaded guilty.

She said: "It is my fault. I suffered from cancer. It was a few weeks after treatment. I had no money."

Evidence was given that the accused had no previous convictions.

Judge Desmond Zaidan imposed the Probation Act.
