20:10 Thursday 20th of April 2017

A woman appeared at Naas Court today, outlining fears that yesterday her husband threatened to kill her.

The woman told Naas Family Law Court today, how yesterday, while she was in the kitchen of her home, 'making lunch', her husband began giving out about a 'smell in the washing machine.'

She told the court how he said he could not sit in his 'usual spot.'

The court heard her say that her husband said: "I am going to kill you."

She outlined how in the past her husband has put his hands around her neck and tried to choke her.

"He has punched me in the face."

Judge David Waters imposed an interim barring order, and ordered the couple to return to court on May 2.
