World renowned author J.K Rowling has expressed her fondness for a painting created by a talented Kildare artist who regularly puts together artwork of famous celebrities.
Paul Broughall, who is from Monasterevin, impressed the Harry Potter series author with an amazing painting that showed Rowling in a Simpsons-type yellow colour. Paul has been painting artists for quite a while now, and the likes of Twink, Courtney Cox, Cher and Maisie Williams have all responded to his work on social media.
Paul recently posted the painting of Rowling to her Twitter page, and she responded on front of her 14.5 million followers that 'Like isn't a strong enough word' when describing the painting.

"I do it because it's something people enjoy, once they understand it," Paul told Independent.ie on why he does it.
"It just seems to get a reaction from people, a laugh or a discussion and I think that's all any artist can ask for.
"The goal is to get as many celebs to interact with their paintings as possible at home and abroad but the bigger goal is for them to be recognised more in Ireland, to get people talking about it.
"Twink printed hers out for her Terenure Market stall and Steph and Dom from Gogglebox had theirs on their table beside them on TV."
