It has been a generally good May with regards to the weather so far this month, and that is set to continue into the closing stages of this week as there is more sunshine predicted.
Dry and mostly clear tonight with some cloudier conditions at times in southern counties. A chilly night in near calm conditions with a few mist patches. Minimum temperatures 2-7 degrees, with a slight grass frost in some midland and northern areas.
Dry again tomorrow with good sunny spells. There will however be more cloud about compared to today with the best of the sunshine likely to be in the east and northeast. Highest temperatures 14-18 degrees but a little cooler on the south and east coast due to a light onshore southeasterly breeze.
