Busy day of action ahead today for the footballers and hurlers of Kildare

It's a busy day of action for Kildare GAA as the hurlers begin proceedings against Armagh before the footballers take on Kildare a short time later in their respective National League campaigns.
Joe Quaid's Kildare hurling side travel to the Athletic Grounds in Armagh to take on the Orchard County in their first game in Division 2A of the National Hurling League, with throw-in scheduled for 1.15pm. There should be a decent crowd along to watch the hurlers as the Armagh footballers take on Laois straight away after in a battle between Division 3's two promotion favourites.
Cian O'Neill's football side will be looking to build upon their fine win over Meath last Sunday when they welcome Cork to St Conleth's Park for a 2pm throw-in. It's the first time the two teams have met since Kildare shocked the Rebels in the 2015 All-Ireland qualifiers, and Cork are in need of a win if they are to justify their tags as favourites for promotion this year.
Peadar Healy's team drew with Galway in Salthill last time out, but a win for Kildare would keep them at the top of Division 2.
