Dominant Kildare lead Offaly at half-time

Allianz NFL Division 3 round two

A dominant first half showing has helped Kildare into a four point half-time lead in the Allianz NFL fixture, and but for some wayward finishing, they could be much further ahead.

The Lilywhites raced into a 0-5 to 0-0 score lead, shutting out the Faithful County for the first 18 minutes, with Niall Kelly floating over three excellent points.

Offaly settled however, and Niall McNamee has came to the fore, the Rhode man has kicked two points in the opening half.

Kevin Feely has been superb on his debut for Kildare, while Daniel Flynn has also been a tower of strength in the middle third.

A little more composure on front of goal should see Kildare claim a second win in the space of a week as we prepare for the second half here in St Conleth's Park.
