It was a dream night for Naas youngster Jimmy O'Brien who starred on his first start for Leinster in their Pro14 win over Scarlets, bagging a brace of tries in the process.
O'Brien was part of a young Leinster side that featured a huge amount of highly rated talent that is coming through the provincial ranks, and they were far too good for a Dragons side coached by fellow Kildare man Bernard Jackman. It finished 59-10 in the end at Rodney Parade, with the blues crossing the whitewash nine times in all as Ross Byrne orchestrated matters from outhalf.
O'Brien's two tries arrived late in the game, and they followed up an earlier double from Dave Kearney and a try apiece for Caelan Doris, Scott Fardy, Hugo Keenan, Bryan Byrne and Scott Penny.
Kill duo Adam Byrne and James Tracy also featured prominently for Leo Cullen's side, who now sit atop of Conference B and hold a whopping 15-point advantage over second placed Scarlets.
