Kildare's win over Derry this afternoon means that they will be in the hat for the second round of the All-Ireland qualifier draw on Monday morning.
There are still plenty of teams left to earn their place in the second round qualifiers, and Kildare will meet one of the beaten semi-finalists from the four provincial championships.
Already it is confirmed that Clare, Tipperary, Sligo, Leitrim and Monaghan, with the latter obviously being the toughest looking draw on paper. The other teams that will be going into the hat are the losers of the Longford and Dublin game, Donegal and Down, and, most interestingly, Carlow and Laois.
The three aforementioned games will be played tomorrow afternoon.
If Kildare draw a team that was playing in either Division 3 or Division 4 last year, they will be away in that game. If they are first out of the hat and drawn against either Clare, Tipperary, Monaghan or Dublin they will have home advantage.
The draw will take place at 8.30am on Monday morning on Morning Ireland, RTE Radio 1.
