Former Kildare manager Jason Ryan switches codes on return to management

Jason Ryan may only have left his post as manager of the Kildare senior footballers less than a month ago, but he has already gotten back on the horse and returned to management. This time however, it is in a very different setting.

Ryan will oversee the fortunes of the Wexford club side Taghmon-Camross' hurlers and footballers for the remainder of the season. The hurlers ply their trade in the junior grade of Wexford hurling while the footballers are in the intermediate championship.

Despite a lack of success in his two years managing the Lilywhites following the departure of Kieran McGeeney, Ryan is still highly thought of in Wexford following his exploits with the county team from 2008-2012. Ryan led the Model Men to the their first All-Ireland semi-final appearance since 1945 in 2008, where they were ultimately pipped at the post by eventual champions Tyrone.

It is not yet known whether or not the De La Salle native will continue as manager of the Wexford club side for the 2016 season.
