Good news for Lillies fans as Kildare v Galway to be streamed live this weekend

Kildare's final round league game away to Galway on Sunday is set to be streamed live on the TG4 website this weekend.

It's good news for Lilywhite fans who are unable to make the trip all the way down to Salthill, where there is a double header in store as Galway also take on Waterford in the National Hurling League quarter-final at 4pm.

Kildare's game gets underway at 2pm, and they will be facing a Galway side looking to secure promotion alongside the Lilywhites to Division 1 of the National League. They will achieve that if they can match Meath's result against Clare, with a win assuring the Tribesmen of promotion, while a loss for Meath would also mean that Galway go up regardless of what happens in the west.

Cian O'Neill's side have no pressure on their shoulders this weekend, meaning the manager is likely to start a number of players who have not featured too heavily in the league so far. No team has been announced yet by the management, but a good clutch of changes from the side that defeated Clare last Sunday are expected.

Galway GAA also got in touch with Kildare GAA to advise supporters of the best way in and out to Pearse Stadium, a venue which is notorious for large backlogs of traffic.

The statement read;

"On behalf of Galway GAA and the Pearse Stadium Committee I welcome all GAA Supporters to Salthill on Sunday next, 2nd April 2017, for two big games in the Allianz Football and Hurling Leagues. These games on Sunday will result in increased traffic in the Galway, Salthill and Pearse Stadium areas and we urge all Supporters to arrive early, in order to avoid traffic congestion and potential delays. Please bear in mind also the potential impact of the current situation in Bus Eireann."

"We request all Supporters to arrive in good time, to park in the designated Car Parks and to park legally and responsibly, at all times. There will be amble car parking spaces available in Salthill and adjacent to the Stadium for those who arrive in good time.

"Finally, we appeal to all Supporters to be conscious, mindful and respectful to the needs of our neighbours, the local residents. Please distribute and communicate this notice to all your Clubs, Supporters and your Local Media."
