Play at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open is getting back underway at 2.15pm after been suspended for over an hour due to what was described by officials as 'dangerous weather.'

Play is normally never suspended at golf tournaments due to rain, but a torrential downpour of hailstones and heavy rain made conditions unplayable during the final round.

Rory McIlroy holds one shot lead over Scot Russell Know following a mixed start to the day. The Northern Irish man struggled at holes 6,7 and 8 before play was suspended. The impact of the adverse weather conditions will have come as a welcome relief to the Holywood golfer as he looked to be really struggling.

Knox has been in splendid form so far today, carding an eagle and a birdie on boles 4 and 5, but a bogey on the sixth halted his challenge momentarily.

Danny Willett is ticking along nicely too as he sits three shots behind McIlroy on -6, while Bradley Dredge is on -7 under following a fine start to his round.
