Two players who helped their respective Kildare club sides to county finals last year have sent their well wishes to their clubmates ahead of their league finals tomorrow afternoon from their army base in the Lebanon.
Moorefield stalwart Anthony Durney and Round Towers star Dean Houlihan are currently based in the Lebanon with the 110th Infantry Battalion, and both men will be eagerly anticipating the news of how their respective clubs fare tomorrow in St Conleth's Park.
Durney was an integral part of the Moorefield side who made it to the county final in 2016 where they were ultimately defeated by neighbours Sarsfields, while Houlihan played in midfield for Towers as they captured the Intermediate Championship title under Glenn Ryan following an epic replay win over Two Mile House.
Moorefield will be taking on Naas in the MD Sports Division 1 Senior League final tomorrow at 3.15pm as they look to capture that particular title for the first time since 2015. Round Towers will be looking to continue their upward trajectory when they contest the Division 2 league final against St Kevin's at 1.30pm.
