Ballyanne Simm, owned by Kildare's Eamon Cleary and trained by Athy man James Robinson, won the biggest race in the Irish greyhound racing calendar this evening.
The rank outsider, a 14/1 shot, won the 2018 Boylesport Irish Greyhound Derby Final at Shelbourne Park tonight.
He won in 29.28 seconds over the 550 yard distance to land the first prize of €140,000.
Racing out of trap one, Ballyanne Simm was quickly away and led from early on to triumph ahead of Magical Bale with Clona Blaze back in third.
